Hi James,

I think almost all "grip" tires have the stud holes in them these days. I live in Southwest Louisiana, and the tire stores around here sell "Mud Grip" tires, not "snow tires". It hasn't snowed around here since the 90's, and then it was less than an inch that was gone the next day. Yet the mud grip tires all have the holes for studs. Now instead of snow and ice, we do have hurricanes and mosquitos, and no I don't want to trade. :>)
