Hello, If your local retailer doesn't carry, consider ordering the tires online and having them shipped to your house or the tire shop. FWIW, I found the Hankooks to be smoother and more stable at highway speeds than the Nexens. The Nexens, however are giving me better traction on the dirt and gravel roads at campsites. Raymond

Both are marketed in the U.S. as "trailer tires," but in fact are specifically van tires by construction and intention. It is just that in the U.S. there is so little demand for van tires that size, that the U.S. division of the manufacturer markets them to trailer owners. They do not carry the USDOT symbol for trailer tires. They meet the criteria for our vans. > > There are a few other choices, and if you review the online tire dealers, you will find them. One is a Nexen (sp), and it is priced below both the Hankook and the Kumho. BTW, I went with Hankook because I got a much better price for them than the Kumho > commands. I could not see the difference given the specifications, and the satisfaction that many owners have with the Hankooks. > > mcneely > > ---- Tyler Hardison <tyler@SERAPH-NET.NET> wrote: >> My weekender has the original 14" steel rims and the chrome VW hubcaps.
