It's the Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) activated charcoal canister-Robert1982 Westfalia1992 Golf
Hi all, I was working on something on my van and discovered a disconnected hose that appeared to go to a canister up behind the top of the rear wheel well on the passenger side. The canister appears to have been knocked out of position by some kind of padding (sound deadening material?) that has fallen down from, I think, under the bottom of the rear seat. Anybody know what this canister is? What impact on the vehicle's running would that loose hose have? It's an '87 Westy with 2.1L engine, auto tranny. Thanks, Marc Perdue |
