cool. I thought the test wouldn't involve the canister.

not to take this too far OT, but while in oceanshores WA the other day, had a chat with a fellow anot his 86 Vanagon running problems. he knew nothing of the expansion tanks etc. but I've BTDT in terms of not knowing about those parts. ..... and many other relevant details. ;)
