So my beloved backyard poplar drops the most obnoxious seeds. Green goo that gets in the kids hair. What's the best way to remove? The guy at the car wash said to use methyl hydrate (lock de-icer??) but that it removes the finish. Which you then replace. Sounds dangerous. Any better suggestions?

Thanks Jeff

poplars dont drop anything that cant be washed off with soap and water. if your talking about real sap..like from a pine tree.. then paint thinner or mineral spirits will take it off without damaging the paint or clearcoat. use an old cotton sock or rag.
