Hmm, it just seems to me that if you are going to use a slave that requires the transmission to be removed to replace, it needs to last as long as the clutch itself.

Vanagon exhausts have so many bends and take so much vibration they are all going to crack at some point, especially SS, which is more brittle than mild steel.

For a brief time Stebro made a stainless steel system for the Vanagon, and mine cracked after about 5000 miles. The pipe connecting to the muffler was really stressed by the muffler hanging from it.

AUDI

FORD

SEAT

SKODA

VW

I will admit that I am on my 2nd 1 (1st lasted 38000Mi's & so far I've put 22000Mi's on the 2nd) ~

S'C' provided a Spacer to add to the MasterCyl' Input on the 2nd 1 & I added a ShortStopBlock under the

carpet to limit the PedalStroke & so far it is all working fine ~ VeryPrecise ClutchAction ~

& regarding the S'C'Header ~ I will again admit the I can no longer say that mine has not Cracked ~

13Apr'15 @ about 58000Mi's & 5.5Yr's ~ Split @ the weld @ the FinalCollector ~ Cost me $25 & 25Min's

to get it welded & so far it's holding ~=
