Hi Dan,
On Olympic Peninsula, I'd second what Stuart said about Kalaloch (I've
stayed at the campground there and the little cabins just south) and time
for a side trip into the Hoh Rain Forest.  At least take the short loop
hike from the NP visitor center  there.

On the way up there, if you are ready for a civilized sit-down meal, turn
off to the Lake Quinault Lodge ... beautiful spot.

At Port Angeles, take time to drive up the spur road to Hurricane Ridge ...
fairly short road that takes you from sea level up to the sky.  Hike or
just get out and look around everywhere, you're above everything, sometimes
the clouds.
