I recently went to a local meetup and learned that my fridge worked.  I had
the van since 2007, and was sure the Dometic didn't work because I didn't
hear anything when I plugged it into electric.  Besides that, I heard from
lots of people that Dometics don't usually work, and when they do, they
aren't very cold.  At the meetup they told me to plug the van into my
outdoor electrical socket, turn on the fridge and check it in the morning.
The next morning, voila - 38 degrees!  They also told me how to work the
propane, but I haven't tried it, yet.  I also came across a camper
equipment manual, probably from this forum, and read that.

Oh - one more hint they gave me, and I think the manual said the same
thing:  Light the stove first.  Once the propane is actually running in the
stove, the fridge will start more easily.
