They all have sight windows don. What I use to determine if fridge is lit is the LED on the panel, you have an early fridge with the meter.

Replacing the stock led with a brighter one helps a lot. The. Led glows when the fan is lit and with a brighter led one can easily see the change in k I got intensity with change in flame state.
