At best, I've seen 43º F differential. But that was at ambient temps lower than 90º F and with a fridge full of cold stuff.

As Richard and others have referred to, the "city water" fan upgrade likely made the most positive difference in fridge performance on each Dometic I'd been running. If you look at the fridge side of other RV's with absorption fridges, you'll see a large grill or two. Parking in shade, shady side to fridge, small internal fridge fan, better insulation, fridge "management" etc. etc. all help. For point of reference, and though highly unscientific, 3PM sun at side of Westy, no insulation: 130º F at sheet metal behind fridge. With insulation, 88º F. That insulation would obviously heat up over time though.

I think too that the age of the fridge, and use (or abuse) its' seen, play a large factor in how well if performs.

All that said, even the TruckFridge will be challenged in really hot weather. For enjoyably cold beer, my TF49 has to be set at around 5 in hot weather.
