There's a significant amount of windshield below your normal line of sight, too. Way back, I tinted the top four inches along with the bottom foot or so.

Made a big difference in light and heat, keeping the dash cooler and not radiating heat into the interior. Not sure whether it was legal, so didn't do it again when windshield was replaced.
