I dropped the spare and removed the tray for access and found that the bars interfered with access to the splined connector from rack to steering linkage. I could not get the rack to drop without doing this and it was only a little more trouble. Also made for vastly more room to work under the front with that stuff out so seemed well worth it. Stephen
