Before I got my lift assists, and before I fixed the push bar (which was very worn), the force required on the push bar was significant. Someone, on one of the lists, helpfully suggested that you leave the push bar alone at first - push on the roof itself until it is as high as you can lift it that way. THEN you start with the push bar. This is SO much easier, I donšt know why I didnšt think of it earlier (and of course, with the assists it is super easy) > |
