Most of the main logging roads are pretty good, but this year with the dry weather I don't think they have been graded as often as they normally are. The smaller roads and spurs, the ones that lead to the good spots, can be rough. Not rubicon rough, just rough enough to make you happy you have four wheel drive. It's the nice thing about the syncro, to put it in G gear and slowly go up the winding loose rock roads without worrying about loosing traction too much.

But boy it does make the oil and coolant temps soar.
