Subject: Traveling Tool Kit?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8

So I'm interested in what you keep in your "traveling toolkit".

Me:

* A set of old plug wires from the last tune-up. (If they were OK at the time) * A metric set of sockets and wrenches. With extra 10mm versions of each. :-) * Fuses (duh) * A spool of 12 gauge wire. (This from my days of driving older Bay windows) * A quart of oil, and a quart of pre-mixed coolant. * Some misc lights. * Fire Extinguisher!! * An old sound blanket in case I have to crawl under the van. * Fuel filter * The usual road safety items, flares, jumper cables, etc. * My trusty 12v air compressor

I have one kit that I transfer between different vehicles. If I'm going Jeep'ing I'll swap a few things (I.E. SAE kit). But the basic kit remains the same.

How about the rest of the group? Was there ever a time when you were "broke down" and wished you'd had something?
