Hi Jeff,

I used the lightest duty because I didn’t want the top to be difficult to pull down. My girlfriend is short and light and if she had to lower the top with stronger struts she would end up dangling from the bar with no effect! I’ve heard past light weight posters mention this problem. So mine don’t immediately raise or lower but I can easily raise or lower the top with minimal effort. It also stays at whatever position I want while I pull in the tent or arrange things. Nice not to have to settle it on my head like the old days.
