http://www.amazon.com/Hopkins-48845-Tail-Light-Converter/dp/B0002RNSPK is just the converter gadget you will need to connect the vanagon wiring with separate brake and turn signal bulbs to typical trailers that share the brake and turn signals. I just used those inline wire taps someone else linked to above, did not need the powered converter device.
