RE: Bleeding the cooling system The pre '86 cooling systems (1.9L stock WBX or same system with another engine) does need bleeding and it is not a trivial process. The later '86 and on, cooling system is diferent and will, for the most part, be self bleeding. You can get lucky with the earlier system but if any serious loss of coolant there will be air in the system. BTDT a bunch of times with my '85. No problems now with my '90. |
