I pulled my wheels today intending to do a brake job, and I decided (or rather, condition and circumstances dictate) that I need to replace the calipers. They seemed fine when I last did the brakes a few years ago in Cali, but 2.5 years in the Great White North seems to have done them in. I actually wouldn't be surprised if they were original (~380,000 mi.). So apparently I need to know what I have in order to know what to order (ATE or Girling?) - how do I determine this? I imagine they both rust about the same. :/ While we're at it: What else should I replace while I'm at this? I see bolt kits w/boots (mine are shot), different-than-stock brake lines (deeper threads), and so on ... I did look through my archived email and wasn't finding much. TIA Robert '87 GL 2.1 Auto |
