if the t-stat is doing it's job properly... the engine temp will be at the correct figure ( say 180F or so ) ..

regardless of 'extra cooling.' you could have a 100 gallon radiator that could cool 6 engines.. and if the t-stat is keeping coolant from flowing unless it's warm enough to open the stat.

I wouldn't go over the recomended amount on the bottle . I use . Great product.

One time I made two changes to my 2.1 wbxr engine system, running on 1.9 Digiget Fuel Injection and 1.9 style cooling system.

I added a 2.1 style oil cooler/ heat exchange and put in Water Wetter, then went on a trip. My temp needle was like 'glued' just a smidgen to the right of the LED just like I like ... like between the middle and right edge of the LED in the temp gauge.

It seems many people do not understand that a thermosat only affects the 'keep it this warm please' temperature.

say there's huge load ....long hills, hi ambient .. and give the heat load created by the engine ...and the cooling system ability to cool... say it wants to run at 205 F on a long hill ...

once the t-stat is open ..it's open. it won't matter if there is a 170 F stat in there, or a 195 etc.. the Stat only determines when coolant can flow. it does not make engines 'run cooler' . a cooler stat just starts flow ealier.

so ..if your whole system is working properly .. the ECT sensor will still read the right value because it will still be running at the stat-determined temp.. except when load conspires to make it run hotter temporarily ...like until you start down the other side of that long hot grade.
