I don't know about VW USA, but VW Canada sold some 'weekenders' as the "Multivan Westfalia" package in 1990 and 1991 - we own one, and I've seen others. Rear cabinet, lower Z bed (wider front than rear), poptop and upper bed, three person rear bench and two rear-facing jumpseats. A 12V cooler was an option, and its in the owner's manual, but I've never actually seen a '90 or '91 that had one (even if the cooler is missing, the addional 12V outlet behind the front passenger seat would be a giveaway as to the original equipment). Full width bed, rear cabinet only, rear facing seat, fold-up table, and a pop-top. VW never called them Weekenders. The archives have many arguments to that point leftover from the days I used to own one. > > I do miss the handling! > > Chris > > Wysłane z iPhone'a > > Dnia 16 lip 2015 o godz. 14:18 sailingfc dslextreme.com <sailingfc@DSLEXTREME.COM> napisał(a): > > > My understanding is that VW had a "Weekender" option and for a 7 passenger van that was a fold down rear seat with a matching cushion over the engine cover. > > > > -Dick- > > 87 GL Syncro Weekender > > > > |
