Subject: Re: convert automatic to manual gearbox?

I did this about 12 years ago. Converting is not really that difficult if you have all the correct parts. The easiest way is to buy a junk manual transmission vehicle and just swap things over. Otherwise it will be very frustrating getting all the little stuff like pressure plate bolts, linkage parts, pilot bearing and felt washer, clutch hydraulic line, etc. Buying this stuff new will also be very expensive if even possible. You will also need a MT Kennedy adapter kit or at least several parts from a MT Kit. I'm sure Kennedy can tell you how the MT and the AT kits are different.

You will also get to scrounge lots of parts you might need in the future like turn signal switches, relays, headlight buckets, etc. Also, don't forget to salvage lots of good quality metric nuts and bolts.

Good luck.
