Amusing side note on electric radiator fans - we were on holidays in France last month, and my 11 year old and I noticed an antique car dealer - hard to miss the pristine late '50s MGA sitting in the shop window! It had exactly one upgrade in its otherwise completely authentic restoration - in front of the radiator was a modern pusher radiator fan from a late model Peugeot or Citroen, which the owner of the shop said was to cope with city driving, when the belt-driven fan was inadequate!
