You never heard of the chicken tax. The biggest reason you aren't harvesting the quarter panels from Commercial Vanagons to save your rustling VW, or converting Commercial Vanagons to Subaru ect, is due to the chicken tax. Europeans could have just let the free market decide, and maybe they would have found US chicken meat disgusting given that we treat them so foul. In any event, it was a Democrat who responded in a retaliatory fashion instead of finding a better way to respond. And you're the one who suffers today.
