Good idea Bill, I'll try that out.

One note, as the bars are made from aluminum, the welds will be pissy fussy around 1/4" rod. If was stainless it would be fine, just fusion welding. But I think I have to add rod with that aluminum joint and it won't be pretty with such a small radius.

So why not make the entire thing from stainless? Yeah I could, and I should try. The rod bending is no problem and welding the rods to the plate would be so much easier in stainless ( with aluminum welding the 1/4" rod in 1/4" hole in plate, and hole very close to edge of plate, needs fussing with heat sink and caress to not blow out on the sides)

But it was so much easier to make the prototype plate form aluminum, I mean cutting and hole making etc.
