Maybe it's just me, but I've always had problems bleeding Vanagon brakes manually. This is my solution, and it's worth every penny: http://motiveproducts.3dcartstores.com/Black-Label-European-Bleeder-0109_p_1 01.html I have adapters for all of my cars since brake fluid should be flushed out with new fluid every two years. Now it's easy!

We've changed the brake lines, and it has a newer master cly, changed in 2012.

The odd issue is that we have pressure on the pedal and pump 3 times, open the bleeder and fluid with comes out as pedal goes to the floor. Like it should.

However, the pedal is totally soft and will not have pressure until we let it set for 10 minutes or so. WE can repeat the process over and over again, with no improvement.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Jack R... working on our friend 90 Westy.
