Subject:      Sliding window frame

Hello Vanagan fans!! So I've removed the sliding window from the aluminum
frame and have tinted it and the fixed window. Next thing I'd like to do is
paint the frame black since I'm going with the Cali look on all the windows
and doing away with the chrome trim that never lasted anyways. So the question
is: Has anyone painted their frames and would it wear off where the window
slides against the frame?
