Subject: Anyone out there have an AAP 5 speed transmission (other than me)?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

Deep into the process of a rebuild, looks like either the PO took shortcuts to make parts fit this uncommon tranny or the parts people are trying to make things from other transmissions fit. I'd love to hear from anyone else who has an AAP (1 1)! Mine is attached to a 1.9TD AAZ engine in an '82 that started as a 1.6NA diesel.

I'm in bind, supposed to be on the roadMonday for 4 weeks of covering some big events and it's not looking good. Close to built but the extended1st gear is getting replaced now. Sigh.
