I hate to say it , Roy, but the flat rate book allows 3.5 hours to change a waterboxer water pump, exactly the time it took me the last time.With trick tools and practice, it can be done in less I'm sure):Robert 1982 Westfalia

I had a look at the Bentley and replacing the pump looks fairly straight forward (like maybe an hours effort?),
