Hi Listers,

It seems like at almost every VW event i learn something helpful about camping in the van. It is great sharing these tips. At the Falcon ridge folk Festival I camped with a friend who has a 86 Vanagon. During our conversations and when I explored his van I noticed he was using the smaller table in the position over the cabinets by the sink. but I further noticed he had relocated the mounting bracket. The result was that his closet door opened nicely without needing to move the table. Interestingly his table was low and blocking the flip up cabinets. when I asked him why he didn’t raise it up he told me he didn’t know he could. I explained how to add the extension to the bar so the table can go up high.

Today I moved the bracket on my smaller table and sure enough, I have access to all cabinets and still a useful table.

keep sharing those tips.
