What size are you looking to use and what is the intended use? An "All Terrain" tire will not be as good on wet roads (too much void ratio) and while they look aggressive they are not as good as a real winter tire on snow and ice, especially light snow or ice covered roads. They can usually push through deep fluffy snow but once going nothing like a winter capable tire to help you stop and steer. Also keep in mind the effect taller tires have on gearing and braking if you have to original engine. The increased torque loading really helps to reduce transmission life if you like to drive fast. Loud? My beloved Nokian WRC tires are nearing the end. I'm looking into taller options for my Syncro. What is your opinion of these Kumho tires? Are they loud? Chris.
