This is why I don't like the 15 inch wheel size. For Syncros I like the 215/65/16 or 235/60-16. 27 inch diameter. For 2WD I stay with 225/60-16. Due to availability of American Racing 17 inch wheels I have also been using 225/55-17 for 2WD and 235/55-17 for Syncros. These sizes are all available in extra load rated versions.

This would work on a 2WD Vanagon. I have Syncro Westfalia with an ABA block conversion. I need a bit more load rating and bite. :-)

I think the Nokian WR C3 might work, although they are directional.

The WRC Van tires I currently have are excellent 4-season performers, even in hot GA summers. They are quiet and have a great ride. Did I mention quiet? They are that good.

This type tire reaches it full rated carrying capacity at 41 or 42 psi. The truck tire only has its full capacity at the maximum inflation. This is due mostly to the extra heat buildup in that type of tire. This is an all season tire and the price is right. > > Dennis > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Chris Szpejankowski > Sent: Monday, August 10, 2015 1:37 PM > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: Nokian WRC tires no more? > > I have Nokian WRC 4 season tires in 205/65R15 size. They have 102 load rating and are just about perfect in every aspect. Does anyone know if these are not produced any longer? I can't find them anywhere but they are listed on Nokian website. > > Chris. > > Wysłane z iPhone'a
