Rust is a terrible thing. I just finished an interesting book: Rust, The Longest War

Gas filler pipe on our Forester has apparently developed a small leak near the top due to rust. Evap system fails the pressure test and sets a code, disabling the cruise control.

Four out my five vanagons have rust problems, '91 GL and '87 Wolfsburg awaiting treatment, '84 Westy and '84 tintop beyond repair.

Lots of salt in W. Michigan
