I ran 225/60r16 and other larger sizes tires on my previous Westy with no ill effects. Panic braking was actually improved due to increased traction over skinny stock 185 tires.

Just looking to hear from people who used Kumho Venture tires. Nokian WRC Cargo tires ride extremely well and are very quiet even when worn. I'd like to keep those attributes if I can.

An "All Terrain" tire will not be as good on wet roads (too much void ratio) and while they look aggressive they are not as good as a real winter tire on snow and ice, especially light snow or ice covered roads. They can usually push through deep fluffy snow but once going nothing like a winter capable tire to help you stop and steer. Also keep in mind the effect taller tires have on gearing and braking if you have to original engine. The increased torque loading really helps to reduce transmission life if you like to drive fast. > > Dennis > > > ----Original Message----- > From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Chris Szpejankowski > Sent: Sunday, August 9, 2015 10:21 AM > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: Kumho Venture tires?
