At this point .. I would go over the rocker arm screw adjustments.. starting with a careful inspection of rocker arms and pushrods.

on the lifters that are pumped up ....I'd adjust the .

on the other ones ....at least I know they should work and I estimate the screw position to mid-travel of the lifter .

start thinking about getting the left lower pushrood cover off .. so you can access the oil pressure switch .. and then start thinking about how to connect an oil pressure gauge there.

if you know it's got a bazillion miles on it .. like original 26 yr old/whatever engine ...you could be on last legs of course.

just put in 60 Wt. Racing oil ...( partly joking )( and either fit a guage or pay careful attention to which exact pressure oil pressure switch you want in there, and put in a good non-cheap new one.
