I wouldn't quite say that. of course in 'normal rubber' valve stems length is the main consideration.

There are also metal valve stems that are secured to the rim with a nut. Those are not going to just 'crack and break off or leak someday. They are also a rigid mount ...where if you're bush wacking there's some give in the all rubber ones.

about 2 inches is the normal length. also .. metal tire valve caps ...those have a rubber seal in them ..adding one more seal. I always run those on all my cars.

I don't EVER expect to see any tire at 65 psi cold unless it's on a large loaded truck .

As stated many times ..I **especially** don't recommend D Load Rating 14 inch tires in the front of a vanagon. Rear is fine ..front ..way, way too harsh and stiff !!

I know these are LT tires and are rated @65psi. When replacing the valve stems is there any that "NEED" to be used because of the higher PSI. > > I dont want a leaky tire with these. I have the 14" steel wheels. Also I think the current stems are too short. Should they be 2" valve stems? > > What says you? > > Thanks, > T. >
