I have a driver's rear rear wheel bearing go out on me. While I have all four bearings replaced I'm considering the replacement of all my original springs. Here in the state, I've noticed that GoWesty and VanCafe both sell the type of springs called Progressive Springs and they come in the stock size and a 1.5'' lift size. When I call GW they tell me to get the 1.5'' lift as it will even out the heavier camper. But I'm hearing that with that increase I might get a problem with the new geometry on the CVs. Some of the posts I'm reading online mention that the weight of an engine conversion (zetec in my case) can come into play here. Have any experience in this regard? I'm at the point that I can't take on too much risk. But I understand (and appreciate) the general vanagon risk. Thank you, +nirav |
