hmmm. tricky question... the new landrover evoque's come to mind with their buttery leather, but a "perfect" second car imho, is a reliable recovery vehicle. I once broke down in a 79 westfalia on I-80, 120 miles outside of slc. after hitching a ride back home (slc), i drove my 4-cyl, 4 door suzuki sidekick to uhaul, rented a tow hitch and dragged the van back home for repair. the suzuki was never the prettiest car, but i never got stuck (4wd), it had a ton of interior space and got 36mpg even after 60k miles. i couldn't kill it... jvk
