that's a non-GL base model vanagon.   rare?  well its  rare in there werent
many non-GL passenger vans sold in '85 or '86.    but this is the interior
they came with..vinyl. .  most had the brown or  tan vinyl though, so i
guess the black is kinda rare.
i have a '85  non-GL NINE passenger vanagon with the vinyl interior..  but
its brown , not black.    its a parts van now.
Also listmember Sudhir Desai from MD had a red and white '84 vanagon
non-GL with the black vinyl interior....sadly, that got parted out too (i have
the black panels from his van!)



whats really rare, is the '85-'86 GL silver or wolfram grey seven pass  GL
vans that had the black velour interior.....the seats are dark grey  velour
with black vinyl..and the doorpanels are black vinyl with the dark grey
velour insert.. and the carpets were black.  i put the interior  from one of
these in my doka..
