We got back to hot and sunny Phoenix from our month-plus journey a couple days ago. Phx to PNW to Glacier to PNW to Phx with several side trips.

The numbers: 6720 miles; 152.7 miles/day; 198 miles/fill; $2.981/gallon;357 gallons; Three most expenisive fills were in Cal; trip avg.: 19.27 mpg!

Had no mechanicals to speak of; the following are more maintenance items than disasters:

Had the gas tank resealed by George at Porbug in Edmonds, WA (thank you, George). Should have been done a couple years ago, but started smelling serious fumes on our way north. Verified fumes were not in the engine compartment and lived with it for a couple days.

The ECU or hall sender overheated in Las Vegas rush hour traffic. PITA, but fixed itself after cooling while parked on the median for a half hour.

The odometer failed north of Las Vegas, so the last three entries were calculated by GPS/Rand McNally.

Overall, had a safe and enjoyable trip with no major problems. YAY!
