Update: I called Karl yesterday evening moments after they had secured the last site at Tumalo State Park. So Wolz & Co. found a place. All is good.

Mrs Squirrel & Cosette Cat are ourselves camping alongside the Deschutes River south of Karl's location. Air is quite hazy due to the number of wildfires in the northwest.

I'll contribute to that with a little hickory smoke. Got me some ribs to smoke on my little Old Smokey smoker which I converted to propane for use during just such conditions.

No open fires, no charcoal fires.
