I recently thought I had a leak from that crank seal but it turned out to
be from the oil breather at the top of the engine. Oil was leaking there
and running down the block. Try cleaning the old leaked oil off and seeing
if you can determine exactly where is the source of the leak.

I have since found and repaired 2 more oil leaks, one from a missing
dipstick tube o-ring and one from an old o-ring on the distributor shaft.
