Silica is more than just dirt -- it's silicon dioxide, commonly known as quartz. It's what's in paper that dulls your scissors, it's what's in grass that dulls your sickle and wears your teeth down, and lets archeologists thousands of years later know you ate grass. It's also what's in Country Time lemonade mix that makes it nice and cloudy, until it settles out in the jug and your glasses and is a nuisance to remove. Yours, David |
