I recommend this tool for clamping off any rubber hose: http://www.ntxtools.com/network-tool-warehouse/KDT-145.html I have four of them, and two are in my travelling tool bag.

For safety, disconnect the battery, have a fire extinguisher nearby, and it may be preferable to work outside.

Hi bill,

there are hose clamps on the two pieces of hose. the smaller hose has 4 clamps, two on each end. the larger hose has a clamp on either end.
