dear vanagoniters

finding an air filter suitable for a 1.9 proved to be a task and a half -
i went to various autohaus places and they looked and looked - no part
listing --
i went to vw dealers and they shrugged - had never seen a California model
westie before and certainly not one with a 1.9 let alone a turbo charged
diesel - way outside their ken --

so one day i was in the tractor supply store ( http://www.tscstores.com )
and was walking through their extensive supplly of impliment air filters -
why would i be searching impliment air filter you ask - Cauase the factory
air cleaner for a 1.9 California model is round and cylinder shaped like a
large roll of crackers with a plastic centering ring around one end -

and there in the pile under the OEM John Deere replacement numbers was my
filter exactly -
slide in like it was made for it - cause it was - LOL

oh wait you likely meant 1.9 air cooled - my bad - ;p
