I installed the Van-Cafe 1.5" lift springs some years ago, and use Gabriel HiJackers air shocks on my '86 2WD Westy for load leveling when loaded down for camping, or pulling a trailer. I've used them for years with great success. Typically run about 20 psig, and the ride is good. My drivers side spring is shimmed to level it side to side, so I have a single airline to both shocks. Running separate lines/valves allows you to adjust side to side level with the shocks if needed. These supposedly do not fit 2WD vans, and I believe it's due to length - with stock springs, especially sagging ones, unless the pressure is kept up, they will bottom out and likely destroy themselves. With the taller springs, they work fine on a 2wd at pretty much any pressure.
