Correction to my earlier post. The range cited exceeds considerably the range of a typical Volkswagen Vanagon GL Campmobile. However, that is range from recharge to recharge, and recharge takes time.
I'll be happy to buy an electric vehicle (not a hybrid, I've got one of those and think it is hunky dory) when the price is right and one can simply stop at a roadside station for a 15 minute battery swap at the price of a tank of gasoline. mcneely
