Hmmm .... . They may have a bigger problem than you or most realize. They sold the vehicles with an implied guarantee of
1) meeting emissions standards, 2) meeting a "performance" standard that they advertised and promoted buyers to expect,
3) maintaining a fuel economy level that they advertised, and 4) standing up to use over time without an excess level of maintenance. If the only way that they meet the emissions standard (required by law) is to bail on one or more of the other three, they may be buying back all those vehicles or putting new engines that they don't have in them. mcneely
