There are a number of different starters that were used on the 2WD. I think the one you want is a Bosch SR25X, 003911023EX. That is a 1.1Kw , 1.47 Hp. This change was mid-year 1987. The earlier starters were .95Kw, 1.27HP. There was also a short body version for the Syncro to clear the diff lock actuator. This change was made to help with the slow cranking issue along with the increased size of the battery cable. Dennis
