You’ll need to have the key inserted in the tumbler in order to remove it. If your key is a bit worn you may need to jiggle it some. I removed the set screw entirely, just to be sure. Two turns probably is insufficient to let the cylinder come out. Use some brake cleaner on the tumbler so as to clean out any gunk (please wear eye protection when spraying).
